What Safety Measures the Showerline Team Implements During a Consultation

We know it’s been a difficult few months for business owners who had to put all their work on hold and homeowners who are under lockdown in their homes. We all had to make sacrifices for the greater good. Luckily, things have slowly started picking up and most businesses are at full capacity.

Since there’s much hesitation for people’s safety, our consultants at Showerline implement thorough safety measures during our home and business visits. We know it’s our duty to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus whilst providing a service to our clients.

Hand Sanitiser | What Safety Measures the Showerline Team Implements During a Consultation

Hand Sanitisers

Since it’s not always possible to wash your hands with soap and water, hand sanitisers are the next best thing to prevent the spread of germs.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), people must use alcohol-based hand sanitisers that contain at least 70% alcohol for it to effectively kill germs.

How we make use of hand sanitisers
Our consultants use hand sanitisers before, during, and after consultations with clients, whether it’s at their business or home.

Face Masks and Face Shields

It’s recommended medical staff wear surgical grade N95 respirators, however, since these are expensive, face masks consisting of tightly-woven fabric (including cotton combined with chiffon or cotton combined with natural silk) is ideal for people who don’t work with sick patients.

How we use face masks
At Showerline, our consultants wear face masks (or plastic face shields) for the entire consultation.

Checking Temperature

As most of you know by now, the average temperature is between 36.5 and 37.5 °C.

How we check temperature
At Showerline, we check all consultants’ temperatures before sending them to consultations with clients.

One-on-One

It’s imperative that contact with people is limited to one or if necessary, two people.

How our team does consultations
At Showerline, we only send one consultant per client. If absolutely necessary, two consultants will visit a home or business.

Keep a Distance

It’s crucial to avoid physical contact during visits with anyone and keep your distance. It’s recommended to stand between 1.5 and 2 metres from a person.

How our consultants keep their distance
At Showerline, our consultants keep their distance and avoid shaking hands or touching surfaces. Nothing wrong with bringing back an enthusiastic wave or a smile (or in this case a crinkling of the eyes as we’re hidden by our masks!).

Physical Safety

Hard Hats | What Safety Measures the Showerline Team Implements During a Consultation

Hard Hats on Site

When visiting any construction site, even if it’s a bathroom renovation or shower installation, hard hats are mandatory. Even if there isn’t an obvious danger, any environment can become hazardous.

Did you know hard hats don’t only protect your head? The protective equipment also protects workers’ eyes and neck from any bumps, scrapes, impacts, and electrical exposure.

How we use hard hats
With every consultation where there is construction in progress, Showerline consultants wear hard hats for protection.

Hard Tip Boots

It’s not only crucial to protect your head during visits to unpredictable environments, but also your feet. Steel-toed boots can help prevent injuries from falling objects, as well as burns, cuts, slips, and punctures. Although these boots can’t protect the wearer from every injury, it sure helps minimise the impact or the severity.

Lumo Building Vests

Whether it’s orange, yellow, or lime green, a safety vest is another mandatory item when working in unpredictable sites.

The reflective colours ensure workers are easily seen in all conditions.
